LVN Map Terms of Use

LVN Map is provided by Madinaty Information Technology LLC, called "we" or "us" in these terms. Where they say "LVN Map", they mean the app for phones and cars, the web app, and the services both use: maps, search, routes, live traffic, road reports and alerts.

LVN Map shows a map of Iraq, finds places, plans routes and guides you along them by voice, and warns you of road hazards, cameras and traffic.

Traffic, reports and alerts come partly from other drivers and partly from public data, and can be late, incomplete or wrong. Road signs, traffic lights, traffic police instructions and the state of the road always come before what the app says.

We may change, add or stop features, or stop the whole service, at any time. Some features need the internet, and your mobile operator's data charges are yours.

You must be at least 13 years old to use LVN Map, and if you are under 18, use it with the permission of a parent or guardian.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use LVN Map for your own travel, under these terms and for no other purpose. Everything not expressly given to you here stays with us and our licensors.

The open source components in LVN Map are under their own licences, listed in "Open source licenses", and nothing in these terms limits the rights those licences give you.

You must not, and must not help anyone else to:

(a)access LVN Map or its servers by automated means, such as bots, scrapers, crawlers or scripts, other than through the app and the web app as we provide them;

(b)scrape, copy, download in bulk or store our content, including map tiles, search results, routes, travel times, live traffic, reports, alerts and anything our API returns;

(c)use our content or our servers to build or improve a database, a map, a dataset or a service that competes with LVN Map;

(d)use our content to train, fine-tune or test artificial intelligence or machine learning models, or to feed it to them as input, such as for retrieval or generated answers;

(e)get around any limit, key, rate limit or security measure, or probe, test or overload our servers;

(f)copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law or an open source licence expressly allows it;

(g)use LVN Map against the law, or to harm, track or watch another person.

We may block, without notice, devices, accounts and addresses that break these rules.

Safety first: set your route before you set off, don't type or look at the screen in a way that takes your attention off the road, and let a passenger use the app when you can.

Follow the traffic law, road signs and traffic police instructions, even when LVN Map says otherwise.

Report only what you really see on the road. False or misleading reports, spam, abuse and sharing other people's personal information are all forbidden.

What you send us, such as reports, confirmations, corrections, suggested places and problem reports, is your content. You keep your rights in it, and you give us a worldwide, free, permanent and irrevocable licence to use, copy, modify, combine, publish and share it to run and improve LVN Map.

Reports are shown to other drivers without your name. Send only what you have the right to send. We may remove or hide any content, and reports expire on their own.

LVN Map, its design, name, logo and software, and the data and content we make, including travel times, speeds, live traffic, the reports database, place corrections, map styles and voice guidance, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law.

Map data from OpenStreetMap stays under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0: © OpenStreetMap contributors. The map's design is based on OpenMapTiles (© OpenMapTiles). These terms do not limit anything those licences allow; they protect our own content and our servers.

LVN Map is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise that it will always work, be free of errors or be accurate: routes, times, speeds, speed limits, places and alerts can be wrong or out of date.

You use LVN Map at your own risk, and you are responsible for your driving. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data or profits, or for harm caused by traffic, accidents, fines, the state of the road or relying on LVN Map. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

The "Privacy" page, in the app and on the web, explains how LVN Map handles your data, and it is part of these terms.

We may change these terms; the version and date at the top tell you which one you are reading. When a change matters, we will tell you in the app or on the web before it takes effect, and using LVN Map after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, and disputes go to the competent courts in Baghdad, unless the law gives you the right to go to another court.
